The Jammu & Kashmir weather service forecasts mostly dry conditions across the valley on September 28, with rain limited to higher elevations.
The regional meteorological centre in Srinagar issued a weather bulletin for September 28, indicating that most of the Jammu & Kashmir plains and valleys will experience dry weather throughout the day. Moisture levels are expected to remain low, reducing the likelihood of showers in populated low‑lying towns.
However, the forecast notes that the higher reaches of the Himalayas, including areas above 2,500 metres such as Gulmarg, Pahalgam and the surrounding mountain passes, may see intermittent rain showers. These rains are projected to be light to moderate and confined to the afternoon hours.
