Rain Continues Across Madhya Pradesh Even After Monsoon Ends

The Indian Meteorological Department declared the monsoon season over for the central region, yet several districts in Madhya Pradesh reported ongoing showers on Monday. Meteorologists noted that residual moisture in the atmosphere is sustaining localized rain despite the seasonal transition.

Farmers in the affected areas expressed concern over the unexpected downpour, as it may delay post‑monsoon sowing plans. Local authorities have issued advisories for commuters, warning of slippery roads and reduced visibility in low‑lying zones.

Weather officials emphasized that the continuation of rain is a short‑term phenomenon and does not indicate a reversal of the monsoon withdrawal. They advised residents to stay updated through official weather bulletins.

The state government is monitoring the situation and has prepared emergency response teams to address any flooding or water‑logging that might arise from the lingering showers.

Overall, while the monsoon has officially departed, the lingering rains underscore the variability of weather patterns in central India.
