The newly appointed Congress chief of Uttar Pradesh announced the party’s readiness to contest upcoming elections alongside the INDIA bloc, emphasizing her resolve with the slogan ‘Beti hun, lad sakti hun’.
The Congress party has named a new chief to lead its Uttar Pradesh unit, signalling a fresh phase of leadership ahead of the state's forthcoming elections.
Addressing party workers and media, the chief declared that the Congress is prepared to fight the polls in partnership with the INDIA alliance, a coalition of opposition parties seeking to challenge the ruling government.
She underscored her determination with the rallying cry “Beti hun, lad sakti hun,” asserting that women leaders are ready to take on the political battlefield.
The statement comes as the opposition consolidates its strategy for the next assembly election, where the INDIA bloc aims to present a united front against the incumbent administration.
Political analysts note that the new chief’s assertive tone may energize the party’s base and highlight the role of women in the upcoming contest.
