Namit Malhotra’s son portrays young Ravana in ‘Ramayana: Rise of a Legend’

The Times of India reports that the son of Indian businessman Namit Malhotra has been cast as the younger incarnation of the mythological antagonist Ravana in the upcoming series “Ramayana: Rise of a Legend.” The series, which retells the classic epic, features Yash in the lead role of Ravana, while Malhotra’s son portrays the character’s early years.

The casting decision places the child actor alongside a prominent Bollywood star, linking a new generation of performers with a well‑known mythological narrative. Details about the actor’s name or previous work have not been disclosed, but the role marks his first high‑profile appearance on a national platform.

Industry observers note that such casting choices aim to add depth to the storytelling by showing Ravana’s formative moments, potentially attracting both younger viewers and fans of the epic. The series is expected to premiere later this year, though exact dates remain unconfirmed.
