Nalanda Open University Extends Admission Deadline to Oct 8, MCA Selection to Start Sep 25

Nalanda Open University has pushed the admission deadline for all courses except MCA to October 8, while the selection process for MCA admissions will commence on September 25 with the exam form date announced.
Nalanda Open University announced on Monday that the last date for submitting admission applications for all programmes, except the Master of Computer Applications (MCA), has been extended to 8 October 2026. The decision was communicated through an official circular released by the university’s administration.
The extension gives prospective students an additional ten days beyond the earlier deadline, allowing them more time to complete documentation and meet eligibility criteria. Applicants for arts, science, commerce and vocational courses can now submit their forms until the new cut‑off date.
For the MCA programme, the university has set a separate timeline. The selection process will begin on 25 September 2026, and the date for filing the entrance examination form has also been fixed. Details of the exam schedule and eligibility requirements were included in the same circular.
University officials said the staggered deadlines are intended to ease the admission burden on students and to accommodate the academic calendar of existing enrolments. They expect the revised schedule to improve enrollment numbers and reduce last‑minute rushes at the admission desk.
