Manipur Chief Minister launched an AI Career Hub aimed at guiding students and job‑seekers toward artificial‑intelligence opportunities, coinciding with the opening of the 32nd National Children’s Science Congress.
Imphal, Manipur – The state’s chief minister officially opened an Artificial Intelligence Career Hub today, positioning it as a dedicated platform to inform and train young people about emerging AI jobs. The hub will host workshops, mentorship sessions and a digital resource centre, linking educational institutions with industry partners to create a pipeline of skilled talent.
During the launch, officials highlighted the growing demand for AI expertise across sectors such as healthcare, agriculture and fintech, and stressed that early exposure can help bridge the skill gap for the state’s youth. The hub is expected to collaborate with national AI initiatives and private firms to offer internships and certification courses.
The ceremony also marked the commencement of the 32nd National Children’s Science Congress, but the primary focus remained on the career hub as a strategic move to boost employment prospects in the technology domain.
State education and labour departments will jointly monitor the hub’s impact, aiming to track enrollment numbers, placement rates and the creation of AI‑related startups in Manipur over the next two years.
