Chief Minister K. T. Rama Rao said the recent district reorganisation in Telangana has made governance more accessible to residents.
Chief Minister K. T. Rama Rao announced that the district reorganisation in Telangana has brought governance closer to the people. The move, which increased the number of districts from 10 to 33, was aimed at decentralising administration and improving service delivery.
Rama Rao highlighted that smaller districts enable quicker decision‑making and reduce the distance between government offices and citizens. He added that the reorganisation will help in better implementation of welfare schemes and infrastructure projects.
The state government has already reported a rise in citizen satisfaction with local governance following the reorganisation. Rao urged officials to focus on effective utilisation of the new district structure to meet the needs of the populace.
