Karnataka Dalit Sangharsha Samiti Forms Devadurga and Arakera Taluk Committees
Ramesh Bhavimani appointed as Devadurga Taluk Convener
Devadurga, Oct. 4: The Devadurga and Arakera taluk committees of the Karnataka Dalit Sangharsha Samiti, led by Mahatma Prof. B. Krishnappa, under Raichur District Committee Reg. No. 386/2020-21, were formed at the Anjuman Hotel Hall in Devadurga town, Raichur district.
The programme was held under the leadership of State Organising Convener Shivappa Palakanamaradi, in the presence of Turumandep Katimani and Kashimappa Murari. The new office-bearers were unanimously elected without opposition.

Organising Conveners: Ramu Madarkal, David Masarkal, Channabasava Koppar, Siddappa Budinal, Jayam Masarkal, Sangamesh Lingadahalli, Mahesh Hirebudur and Maunesh Ganji.
Treasurer: Ramesh Hedderi.
Arakera Taluk Committee
Taluk Convener: Ramappa Maistry Mushtur
Organising Conveners: Shivappa Jerabandi, Eshappa Shivangi, Maunesh Karadona, Adeppa Myakaladoddi, Siddappa Jinkal Palakanamaradi, Ningappa Tippaladinni and Ramesh Bhovi Gejjebavi.
Treasurer: Veeresh Bheri.
Dalit Women's Federation Convener: Channamma
Minority Convener: Gafur Devadurga
Addressing the gathering, State Organising Convener Shivappa Palakanamaradi called upon the newly formed committees to further strengthen the organisation based on the principles and ideologies of Prof. B. Krishnappa and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
He said the country's resources should be distributed equally among poor people belonging to all communities. He also urged the organisation to continue its struggle for housing, residential sites and basic amenities for the poor and to keep the movement alive through sustained activism.
Dalit poet Prashant Danappa, Raddeppa Maski, Convener Sabanna Kamaladinni, Balappa Bhavimani, Channabasava Nayak Myakaladoddi, Bhutappa Devaramani, Ramesh Bagur, Yallappa Aldarthi, Ramesh Jadaladinni, Khaja Hussain Palakanamaradi and hundreds of activists were present at the meeting.
