The Jharkhand High Court ordered relief for candidates of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission, addressing concerns raised over the recent examination process.
Ranchi – The Jharkhand High Court delivered a significant ruling on Thursday, granting relief to candidates who appeared for the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) examinations. The bench intervened after a petition highlighted procedural irregularities and delays that had left many aspirants in uncertainty.
The court directed the JPSC to expedite the declaration of results and to address specific grievances related to the conduct of the exams, including issues of question paper security and evaluation timelines. It also ordered that any pending fees or penalties imposed on candidates be reviewed.
Legal experts noted that the judgment could set a precedent for faster resolution of similar disputes in state recruitment exams. The JPSC has pledged to comply with the order and to ensure transparency in the remaining stages of the selection process.
Student groups, which had earlier staged protests in Ranchi demanding clarity, welcomed the decision, saying it restores confidence in the state's merit‑based recruitment system.
