The Gurugram Municipal Corporation has set up special enforcement teams to issue fines for illegal garbage burning after 6 PM, aiming to curb nighttime pollution.
The Gurugram Municipal Corporation (MCG) announced that it will deploy dedicated teams to patrol the city after 6 PM to enforce the ban on burning garbage at night. The teams will issue challans to offenders and ensure compliance with the municipal waste management rules.
The move comes after rising complaints from residents about smoke and odor from illegal burning sites in residential areas. MCG officials said that the enforcement will be carried out with the support of local police and environmental officers.
Offenders who are caught burning waste after the stipulated time will face fines, and repeated violations may lead to stricter penalties. MCG hopes that the initiative will reduce air pollution and improve public health in the city.
