The cyclonic system named Murasu has lost intensity, and authorities report that the overall situation in Andhra Pradesh is stabilising after the storm.
The cyclonic disturbance identified as Cyclone Murasu has moved away from the coast of Andhra Pradesh and is now considerably weaker, according to the India Meteorological Department. Rainfall and wind levels have dropped, allowing emergency teams to shift from rescue operations to damage assessment.
State officials said that most of the immediate threats have subsided, and relief distribution is proceeding in affected districts. Power supply is being restored where outages occurred, and road clearance work is under way to reconnect isolated villages.
While the worst of the storm appears to have passed, authorities continue to monitor the system for any residual pockets of heavy rain. Residents are urged to stay vigilant and follow any further advisories issued by local disaster management agencies.
The situation remains fluid, but the overall assessment points to a gradual return to normalcy across the state as recovery efforts gain momentum.
