A 1.5°C drop in Madhya Pradesh has pushed temperatures in Bhopal and Indore below 12°C, with clear skies and no rain.
Temperatures across Madhya Pradesh fell by about 1.5°C, bringing the mercury in the state’s capital Bhopal and the commercial hub Indore to just under 12°C. Meteorological data recorded the dip early on, marking a noticeable chill compared with the previous day’s readings.
The cooler spell arrived without any accompanying thunderstorms or rainfall, leaving the sky clear and the air crisp throughout the day. Weather officials confirmed that the drop is part of a gradual winter transition rather than an isolated cold snap.
Residents in both cities reported feeling the cold more sharply in the mornings, prompting a rise in demand for heating appliances and warm clothing. Authorities advised the public to dress appropriately and to stay hydrated despite the lower temperatures.
