Congress leader Revanth Reddy asserted that the Telangana government’s TIMS initiatives were originally conceived by his party, challenging Chief Minister KCR’s claim of ownership.
In a recent statement, Congress senior leader Revanth Reddy said that the flagship TIMS (Telangana Integrated Mission for Sustainable development) projects announced by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao were actually conceptualised and initiated by the Congress party during its previous tenure.
Reddy highlighted specific schemes under the TIMS umbrella, such as rural road upgrades and irrigation enhancements, claiming they were part of Congress’s development agenda before the current administration took office.
The Congress claim comes as the state government continues to promote TIMS as a hallmark of KCR’s governance, positioning it as a key driver of Telangana’s infrastructure growth.
While the Telangana ruling party has not issued an official response, political analysts suggest the allegation could intensify the rivalry ahead of upcoming local elections.
Both sides are expected to cite performance records in the coming weeks as voters assess the impact of the projects on the ground.
