Assam launches startup challenge to solve 50 everyday problems

Assam's state administration unveiled a new startup challenge aimed at tackling a list of fifty everyday problems that affect citizens across the region. The initiative invites entrepreneurs, tech firms and research groups to propose scalable solutions for each item on the to‑do list. Participants will receive mentorship, seed funding and access to government data to develop prototypes. Organisers expect the challenge to spur local innovation, generate employment and improve public services such as transport, health outreach and waste management. The competition will run for several months, after which the most promising projects will be piloted in selected districts.
