Nearly a thousand candidates who cleared the 2025 Primary Teacher Selection Exam but were denied appointments gathered at the District Primary Education office in Bhopal, entered the commissioner’s chamber and clashed with ABVP activists.
Around a thousand candidates who succeeded in the 2025 Primary Teacher Selection Examination but have not received appointments converged on the District Primary Education (DPI) office in Bhopal on Thursday. The aggrieved teachers staged a sit‑in outside the building, demanding that the state government honour their selection results.
Frustrated by the delay, the protesters forced their way into the commissioner’s chamber, prompting a confrontation with members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) who were present to manage the crowd. The clash resulted in a brief scuffle, after which police intervened and restored order.
The demonstrators also raised concerns over the validity of the DLA (Diploma in Language Arts) degree, insisting that its recognition should not impede their appointment. They submitted a collective petition seeking immediate recruitment of the roughly one thousand pending candidates.
Authorities have not yet issued a formal response, but officials indicated that the matter would be reviewed in an upcoming departmental meeting.
