Women Form Long Queues as Panchayat Voting Continues in Udaipur

The Rajasthan State Election Commission has continued the scheduled panchayat polling in Udaipur, with voting taking place across multiple booths in the city. Reports from the ground indicate a noticeable presence of women voters, many of whom are waiting in extended lines to cast their ballots.

Election officials have confirmed that the process is proceeding smoothly despite the crowds, and security personnel are deployed to manage the queues and ensure orderly conduct. The panchayat elections, which determine local governing bodies at the village and town level, are being closely watched as a barometer of grassroots political engagement.

Authorities have urged voters to maintain social distancing and follow health guidelines, given the ongoing public health concerns. The turnout among women is being highlighted as a positive sign of increased participation in local democracy.

The voting is set to conclude later this week, after which the results will be compiled and announced by the state election body.
