West Central Railway is running 100 special trains in October‑November to ease passenger pressure during Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath, covering routes such as Danapur‑Delhi and Danapur‑Haridwar.
West Central Railway has announced the operation of 100 special train services during the festive season of October‑November, covering major pilgrim and holiday routes.
The additional trains will run on popular corridors such as Danapur‑Delhi, Danapur‑Haridwar and other key links, offering passengers more seats and flexible timings.
The move is aimed at easing the surge in travel demand associated with Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath, which traditionally see a sharp rise in passenger volumes across the zone.
Tickets for the special services are available through the regular Indian Railways booking platforms, and the railway has urged travelers to plan ahead to secure seats.
Railway officials said the extra capacity will help reduce crowding on regular trains and improve overall travel comfort during the holiday period.
