Wangsu urged stronger collaboration between the state government and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research to unlock Arunachal Pradesh's agricultural potential. The appeal was made in an interview with The Arunachal Times.
Wangsu, speaking to The Arunachal Times, emphasized the need for a stronger partnership between the state government and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). He said such collaboration is essential to tap into the agricultural opportunities present in Arunachal Pradesh.
He pointed out that the state's diverse agro-climatic zones offer scope for various crops, horticulture and allied activities, but realizing this potential requires coordinated research, extension and policy support.
Wangsu added that enhanced govt-ICAR cooperation could facilitate technology transfer, capacity building for farmers and better market linkages, thereby contributing to rural development and food security in the region.
