Vir Das secures third International Emmy nomination for ‘Fool Volume’

Veteran Indian comedian Vir Das has been announced as a nominee for the International Emmy Awards for the third time, this time for his satirical series ‘Fool Volume’. The nomination, part of the competition’s global television categories, recognises the show’s blend of humor and social commentary. Das, who has previously been honoured for other projects, said the nomination reflects how the “fool” in his work is becoming increasingly outspoken. He added that the character’s louder voice mirrors the growing need for satire in today’s media landscape. The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences will reveal the final winners later this year.
