A Uttarakhand court has ordered the state government to pay ₹81.14 crore to infrastructure firm MBL Infra, following a dispute over unpaid dues.
The Uttarakhand High Court, in a recent judgment, directed the state government to remit ₹81.14 crore to MBL Infra, a construction and infrastructure company, after a prolonged legal battle over unpaid contracts.
MBL Infra had claimed that the state had failed to settle payments for several infrastructure projects undertaken under a public‑private partnership. The court found that the government was liable for the outstanding amount and ordered immediate payment.
The ruling is expected to prompt the Uttarakhand administration to review its financial commitments and could set a precedent for other state‑government contract disputes. The company said it would seek enforcement of the order if the payment is not made within the stipulated time.
