Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya highlighted that Chhattisgarh, now free from Maoist activity, is attracting tourism and investment interest.

Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya told reporters that the state of Chhattisgarh has effectively curbed Maoist insurgency and is now being recognised as a growing hub for tourism and investment. He said the security improvements have created a stable environment that encourages both domestic and foreign investors.
The government’s sustained anti‑Maoist operations over the past few years have reduced violent incidents, allowing the state to focus on development projects. Initiatives such as improved road connectivity, upgraded hospitality infrastructure, and promotion of cultural heritage sites are part of a broader strategy to boost visitor numbers.
Mandaviya also pointed to several upcoming industrial parks and renewable‑energy projects that are expected to generate jobs and attract capital. He urged investors to explore opportunities in sectors ranging from agro‑processing to tourism services, emphasizing the state's commitment to a business‑friendly climate.
The minister concluded by urging state officials to maintain the momentum, assuring that the central government will continue to support Chhattisgarh’s transition from a conflict‑affected region to a vibrant economic destination.
