Uday Saharan remained not out on 100 as Punjab posted a strong total, recovering from Shubman Gill’s dismissal for just one run against Chhattisgarh.
Punjab’s innings gained momentum when opening batsman Shubman Gill was dismissed for a single run, leaving the side under early pressure.
Uday Saharan then anchored the chase, reaching an unbeaten hundred that steadied the innings and allowed Punjab to post a competitive total.
The partnership built around Saharan’s measured aggression frustrated the Chhattisgarh bowlers, who struggled to break the stand.
With the century in hand, Punjab moved into a commanding position, setting the stage for a decisive finish to the match.
