Two workers died after inhaling toxic gas at the ESL Steel plant in Bokaro, Jharkhand. An independent inquiry has been ordered to investigate the incident.

The incident occurred at the ESL Steel plant located in Bokaro, where two workers were exposed to a toxic gas leak. Emergency services were rushed to the site after the exposure was reported.

Plant authorities confirmed the fatalities and stated that immediate medical assistance was provided, but the workers could not be saved. The exact nature of the gas and the circumstances leading to the leak are yet to be determined.

In response, the Jharkhand government has ordered an independent probe to ascertain the cause of the gas exposure and to fix responsibility. The investigation will examine safety protocols and operational practices at the facility.
