Two Drown, Two Missing in Pakala Beach Tragedy, Andhra Pradesh

Police received a distress call early this morning from a group of beachgoers at Pakala Beach, located on the eastern coast of Andhra Pradesh. Rescue teams were dispatched to the site, where they found two bodies in the water and reported two missing persons.

The Andhra Pradesh Coast Guard and local fire services are conducting a search and rescue operation along the shoreline, while the district administration has set up a temporary command center to coordinate efforts. Witnesses said that a sudden wave or rip current may have pulled the victims into deeper water.

Authorities are urging beach visitors to exercise caution and follow safety guidelines, especially during high tide. The missing persons are believed to be adults, but their identities have not yet been released.

The incident has prompted the state government to review beach safety protocols and to increase patrols in the area.
