A speeding truck in Muzaffarpur's Devaria area crushed two brothers, killing 10‑year‑old Roshan Kumar and severely injuring his 6‑year‑old sibling. The driver fled the scene.
A heavy truck was traveling at high speed on the road near Devaria police station in Muzaffarpur when it struck two brothers riding a bicycle. The impact was severe, causing the vehicle to overturn and crush the riders.
The 10‑year‑old, known as Roshan Kumar or “Golu”, died at the scene, while his 6‑year‑old brother, Sanni, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
After the crash, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the area. Local villagers, alarmed by the incident, blocked the road to prevent further traffic and to allow emergency services to reach the site.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are searching for the driver. Victims’ families are awaiting further updates from authorities.
