Tripura Introduces Free AI Courses for Class VI‑XII with National Certification

The Tripura government has launched free artificial intelligence courses for students from class VI to XII, offering a nationally recognised certification upon completion.
Tripura's state education department announced the rollout of free artificial intelligence (AI) courses targeting students from class VI to class XII. The programme, part of the government's push to integrate emerging technologies into school curricula, will be available at no cost to eligible learners across the state.
The curriculum, designed in collaboration with national technical bodies, covers fundamental concepts of AI, data handling, machine learning basics and ethical considerations. Courses will be delivered through a blend of online modules and classroom sessions, with assessments leading to a certification recognised at the national level.
State officials indicated that the initiative aligns with India's broader digital education agenda and aims to equip young learners with skills essential for future employment. By providing a structured pathway to AI literacy, the programme seeks to bridge the skill gap and foster a generation of tech‑savvy students.
