Traffic Jams Plague Delhi’s Ramleela Maidan During Political Rally

A large‑scale political rally held at Ramleela Maidan in Delhi caused significant traffic congestion in several surrounding areas. Local traffic police reported that vehicles were backed up for hours, with commuters forced to take alternate routes. The rally, organized by a prominent political party, attracted a sizable crowd, leading to road closures and detours.

Authorities urged drivers to stay patient and follow instructions from traffic officers. The Delhi Police announced that they would increase patrols in the area to ease the congestion and ensure safety for both participants and commuters.

The incident highlighted the challenges of managing public gatherings in densely populated urban zones. Officials said they would review crowd control measures for future events to prevent similar disruptions.
