Thousands Gather at Khatushyamji Temple in Sikar for Janmashtami Midnight Aarti

Sikar district’s Khatushyamji Temple became a focal point of devotion on Janmashtami as thousands of pilgrims converged to seek the blessings of Baba Shyam. The temple premises were adorned with traditional yellow (peetambar) decorations, and devotees formed long queues that stretched across the courtyard.

Organisers announced that the main Krishna Janmashtami program will commence at midnight, featuring a grand Mahaarati that includes chanting, lighting of lamps, and a ceremonial offering of sweets. Security personnel and volunteers were deployed to manage the crowd and ensure orderly movement.

Local authorities reported that traffic around the temple was redirected to accommodate the influx, and temporary medical aid stations were set up to handle any emergencies. The event reflects the deep-rooted cultural and religious significance of Khatushyamji for devotees across Rajasthan and neighboring states.
