Telangana Today Editorial Warns Global Warming Has Reached Point of No Return

Telangana Today released an editorial titled "Global warming—point of no return" in which its editorial board warned that the world is now crossing an irreversible climate threshold. The piece highlighted recent data showing accelerating temperature rise, melting polar ice and increasing frequency of extreme weather events across the globe.

The editorial cited scientific consensus that greenhouse gas concentrations have reached levels unprecedented in human history, pushing the planet toward catastrophic impacts on agriculture, water resources and public health. It urged immediate, coordinated action from governments, industry and citizens to cut emissions and invest in renewable energy.

While acknowledging the challenges, the newspaper called for India to lead by scaling up its renewable capacity, enhancing climate‑resilient infrastructure and honoring its commitments under the Paris Agreement. The editorial concluded that delaying mitigation measures could lock in irreversible damage for future generations.
