Telangana Police Seize Rs 1.38 Crore in Demonetised Notes from Suspicious Car

Acting on a tip-off, Telangana police stopped a car that was behaving suspiciously on a highway. Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered bundles of old currency notes that had been demonetised in 2016. The total value of the seized amount was calculated at Rs 1.38 crore. The notes were immediately confiscated and placed in police custody for forensic examination. Officials said the driver and occupants are being questioned to trace the source of the money and any possible links to illegal activities. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the law, and further probes are ongoing.
