Madhya Pradesh will no longer withhold salaries of teachers and guest teachers if e‑attendance fails due to network, app or location glitches.

The state government of Madhya Pradesh issued a clarification that technical glitches in the e‑attendance system will not affect the monthly remuneration of regular and guest teachers.
Earlier, teachers reported that failures in network connectivity, app malfunction or GPS location errors prevented them from logging attendance, leading to concerns that their pay might be deducted.
The education department has now instructed all district education offices to ensure that salary processing proceeds irrespective of e‑attendance records, and that any pending dues will be cleared.
Officials said the move aims to prevent undue hardship and to maintain morale among teaching staff while the e‑attendance platform is being upgraded.
The directive will be effective from the current pay cycle, and schools are asked to inform staff accordingly.
