The Telangana Cricket Association has called for the removal of the Hyderabad Ranji squad and warned it would protest against the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
The Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) has formally demanded that the Hyderabad Ranji squad be scrapped, citing concerns over selection and performance. In a statement released to the press, the TCA expressed dissatisfaction with the current composition of the team.
Alongside the demand, the TCA threatened to stage a protest against the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) if its demands are not addressed. The association said it would consider a walk‑out or other forms of dissent should the BCCI fail to comply.
The move has drawn attention from cricket officials and fans alike, as it could affect the state’s representation in the national Ranji Trophy. The TCA has called for an urgent meeting with BCCI representatives to discuss the issue.
The BCCI has yet to respond publicly to the TCA’s demands. Meanwhile, the Hyderabad cricket community is closely monitoring the situation, hoping for a swift resolution that preserves the team’s integrity and competitive standing.
