Tawang, a hill town in Arunachal Pradesh, is set to host the 14th International Tourism Mart from 29 to 31 October. The three‑day event will bring together tourism officials, travel operators and cultural groups to promote the state’s unique heritage and scenic landscapes.
Organisers have highlighted the mart as a platform for showcasing adventure tourism, eco‑friendly travel and indigenous crafts that define the region. Delegates from various Indian states as well as a few foreign participants are expected to attend, fostering networking opportunities for local entrepreneurs.
The initiative aligns with the state government’s broader strategy to boost visitor inflow to the northeastern frontier, leveraging Tawang’s historic monasteries and snow‑capped peaks. Authorities anticipate that the mart will generate increased awareness and future tourism traffic to the area.
