On its second day, Suriya's film 'Scene' collected Rs 24.03 crore, topping the domestic box‑office and surpassing the earnings of 'Mookuthi Amman 2'.
The Tamil‑language action drama 'Scene', starring Suriya, posted a Day‑2 gross of Rs 24.03 crore, according to box‑office trackers. The figure places the film at the top of the domestic earnings chart for the weekend, edging out the comedy sequel 'Mookuthi Amman 2'.
Industry analysts note that the strong opening reflects the star power of Suriya and the extensive promotional push ahead of the film's release. The collection also suggests a robust audience response in key markets across Tamil Nadu and other Hindi‑speaking regions where the film is screened.
'Scene' opened on a wide screen count and is expected to maintain its lead if the current trend continues. Meanwhile, 'Mookuthi Amman 2' recorded a lower Day‑2 total, indicating a competitive but clear gap between the two releases.
Box‑office data will be updated after the third day, which will determine whether 'Scene' can sustain its momentum and set new benchmarks for the current fiscal quarter.
