The Supreme Court stressed the need for due process while noting that detentions continue, as the opposition and the Chief Justice of India vowed to persist with protests. Opposition parties announced a march to the Supreme Court scheduled for Monday.

The Supreme Court of India, hearing ongoing cases related to detentions, emphasized that due process must be followed in all cases. The bench observed that while authorities continue to detain individuals, legal safeguards should not be overlooked.

Opposition leaders, along with the Chief Justice of India, expressed their determination to continue peaceful protests against what they describe as unlawful detentions. They stated that the demonstrations will persist until the government addresses their concerns.

In line with this stance, opposition parties have called for a march to the Supreme Court on Monday. The march is intended to draw attention to the issue and urge the judiciary to uphold constitutional rights.
