Six Indian trekkers stranded in Nepal after ignoring weather warnings

Six Indian nationals on a trekking expedition in Nepal found themselves stranded after they proceeded despite official weather warnings. The trekkers, part of a small group, ignored advisories about deteriorating conditions in the high-altitude region. Local rescue teams have been alerted and are monitoring the situation, though no rescue operation has been launched yet. Authorities have urged other tourists to adhere strictly to weather alerts to avoid similar incidents. The incident underscores the risks of disregarding safety guidelines in mountainous terrain.

The stranded trekkers are currently awaiting assistance while authorities assess the feasibility of a safe extraction. Officials have emphasized that weather in the Himalayas can change rapidly, making it essential for trekkers to follow local guidance.

No injuries have been reported so far, and the group is expected to receive help once conditions improve.
