Indian security forces intercepted an attempted cross‑border infiltration along the Line of Control in North Kashmir, officials said.
Security personnel operating along the Line of Control (LoC) in North Kashmir reported that an infiltration attempt from across the border was foiled today. The incident was confirmed by Kashmir Life, which cited unnamed officials familiar with the operation.
According to the statement, border patrol units detected suspicious movement and promptly engaged the infiltrators, preventing them from crossing into Indian territory. No casualties were reported on either side, and the attempted breach was neutralised before any breach could occur.
The forces reiterated that vigilance along the LoC remains a top priority, especially in the northern sectors where terrain and weather pose additional challenges. The successful interception underscores the continued readiness of Indian security agencies to counter cross‑border threats.
