Divers in Omkareshwar, Madhya Pradesh, used modern scuba gear to explore the Narmada River at about 210 feet, uncovering statues and coins on the riverbed.

Modern scuba diving equipment was deployed for the first time in Omkareshwar to examine the depth of the Narmada River. Diver Yasir Hasib descended to approximately 210 feet (64 metres) below the water surface, marking a significant milestone in underwater exploration of the river.

The dive revealed a collection of ancient artifacts, including several statues and a number of coins, lying on the riverbed. These finds suggest the presence of historical or religious deposits that have remained undisturbed for decades.

Earlier surveys in 2004 had reported a maximum depth of 350 feet at the same location, but the recent expedition focused on a shallower yet archaeologically rich zone. Authorities are now assessing the artifacts for preservation and potential cultural significance.
