The Special Operations Group in Rajasthan has arrested 38 individuals linked to a scheme that used forged FMGE certificates to pose as doctors, with more than 100 suspects still under investigation.
The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan has launched a crackdown on a network that enabled individuals to obtain foreign MBBS degrees and then practice medicine using counterfeit FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) certificates. The operation uncovered a systematic fraud that allowed unqualified persons to register as doctors across the state.
Police reports confirm that 38 suspects have been taken into custody so far. Investigators say the arrested persons include both the holders of fake qualifications and the intermediaries who supplied the forged documents.
The probe remains active, with more than 100 persons currently listed on the investigation radar. Authorities have warned that further arrests are likely as they continue to verify the authenticity of medical credentials and prevent unqualified practitioners from endangering public health.
