The central cyber crime police in Rajasthan arrested Punjab resident Sandeep Kumar and Gujarat resident Baria Ram for their alleged role in a Rs 6.80 crore online fraud.

The central cyber crime cell of Rajasthan police has taken into custody two suspects, Sandeep Kumar of Punjab and Baria Ram of Gujarat, in connection with a massive online fraud that reportedly siphoned off Rs 6.80 crore.
According to the police, the accused used a fabricated photograph of a company director to deceive victims and initiate unauthorized fund transfers, exploiting digital channels to mask their identities.
Investigators said the operation involved multiple transactions across bank accounts, and the arrests were the result of a coordinated cyber‑forensic effort. The police have filed a case under the Information Technology Act and are continuing to trace additional participants.
Rajasthan police spokesperson confirmed that further interrogations are underway and that the suspects could face charges of cyber‑fraud, money laundering and criminal conspiracy.
