Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot inaugurated a Fit India program in Udaipur, urging residents to adopt regular physical activity as part of the national health push.

Udaipur, Rajasthan – The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, officially launched the Fit India campaign in Udaipur, emphasizing the need for a healthier, more active population. Speaking at the inauguration, he linked the state’s efforts to the broader national initiative aimed at combating lifestyle‑related diseases.

Gehlot highlighted that regular exercise can improve physical and mental well‑being, and urged schools, workplaces and community groups to incorporate fitness activities into daily routines. He noted that the state government will support the campaign through awareness drives, public‑space upgrades and collaborations with local health agencies.

The launch comes as part of the central government's Fit India movement, which seeks to encourage citizens across the country to engage in at least 30 minutes of physical activity each day. Rajasthan officials said they will monitor participation and share best practices with other states.

The event was attended by local officials and members of the public, who were encouraged to take up simple exercises such as walking, jogging and yoga. The CM reiterated that a sustained fitness culture is essential for the state’s long‑term health outcomes.
