Meteorological officials forecast rain and a drop in temperature in Kolkata as the city prepares for an upcoming festival.
The regional weather bureau has issued an advisory indicating that Kolkata will experience rainfall in the coming days, accompanied by a noticeable decline in temperature. This change in weather comes as the city gears up for a major festival, though the specific event name was not disclosed in the report.
Authorities have urged residents to take standard precautions, such as carrying umbrellas and avoiding unnecessary travel during heavy showers. Organisers of the festival are expected to adjust outdoor arrangements to accommodate the cooler and wetter conditions.
The forecast suggests that the temperature dip will provide relief from the recent heat, but the accompanying rain may affect crowd movement and traffic in densely populated areas. Citizens are advised to stay updated through official channels for any further weather alerts.
Overall, the expected weather shift underscores the need for preparedness as Kolkata welcomes visitors and locals alike for the upcoming celebrations.
