Punjab is set to host a large-scale hockey event starting on 27 October. The state’s hockey federation has announced the schedule and venue details for the tournament, which is expected to attract teams from across the country. The event aims to promote the sport at the grassroots level and showcase local talent.
The Chief Minister of Punjab will formally open the competition, marking the occasion with a brief address and a ceremonial ribbon‑cutting. The inauguration is scheduled to take place at the main stadium in Jalandhar, where the CM will meet with hockey officials and players.
