Punjab has reported a record number of registrations for the OOAT program, with a 12% increase in drug users seeking treatment this year.
Punjab authorities announced that the number of registrations for the OOAT program has reached an all‑time high.
The rise comes as 12% more individuals have sought treatment for drug addiction compared to the previous period.
Officials attribute the increase to intensified outreach and awareness campaigns across the state.
The OOAT initiative aims to provide accessible rehabilitation services to those affected by substance abuse.
Health officials are monitoring the trend to ensure adequate resources are available for the growing demand.
