Proposal to Construct Road Divider at a Cost of ₹2 Crore in Jalahalli
Jalahalli, Sept. 16: A proposal has been prepared to construct a road divider in Jalahalli town at an estimated cost of ₹2 crore, with the objective of improving traffic management and ensuring smoother movement of vehicles. Necessary steps are being taken towards implementation of the project.
Joint Site Inspection on Tuesday
Before initiating the encroachment clearance drive, officials from the Public Works Department (PWD), Gram Panchayat and Police Department will conduct a joint site inspection on Tuesday. During the inspection, the boundary of the State Highway will be identified and the areas falling within the road and drainage limits will be examined.
After the highway boundary is marked, notices will be issued to those who have encroached upon the road and drainage areas as per the rules. Officials stated that if the encroachments are not voluntarily removed even after the notices are served, legal action will be taken to clear them.
Officials said that construction of the road divider is expected to improve traffic management in the town and facilitate smooth movement of vehicles.
PWD AEE Srinivas Nayak, Engineer Allabux, Gram Panchayat PDO Lakshmi Ashtagi, Secretary Ayyappa, Police Department PSI Vaishali Zalaki, along with Durugappa Rampalli, Veeresh Arakeri, Mounesh Desai, Mallikarjun and others were present at the meeting.
