A human rights commission chairman has accused Pakistani authorities of creating a humanitarian crisis in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) through a severe crackdown.

Mirza Shafiq, Chairman of the Swiss Kashmir Human Rights Commission, has leveled serious allegations against Pakistani authorities regarding the situation in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). Shafiq claims that Pakistani officials are implementing a severe crackdown in the region.

According to the accusations, this crackdown involves measures such as imposing road blockades and carrying out mass arrests. Furthermore, Shafiq alleges that anti-terrorism laws are being utilized in a manner that exacerbates the crisis.

The cumulative effect of these actions, as described by the Commission Chairman, has resulted in a significant humanitarian crisis within PoJK, raising concerns about the welfare of the residents.
