More than 5 crore citizens have signed up for the digital health card, boosting secure medical record keeping across the country.

Over 5 crore citizens have registered for a Digital Health ID under the National Digital Health Mission (NDHM), marking a significant increase in adoption nationwide.

The Digital Health ID enables individuals to store and access their medical records securely, allowing seamless sharing with healthcare providers and improving continuity of care.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reported the figure, highlighting that the platform aims to enhance healthcare delivery, patient safety, and data privacy.

Registrations are completed through the Ayushman Bharat Health Account portal or its mobile app, and authorities are urging more people to enrol to fully realise the benefits of a unified health record system.

The surge in registrations reflects growing public confidence in digital health infrastructure and aligns with the government's broader push for digitisation in the healthcare sector.
