National Thermal Power Corp (NTPC) distributed nutritional baskets to tuberculosis patients in Manipur under its corporate social responsibility programme.
Manipur health officials confirmed that National Thermal Power Corp (NTPC) handed over a set of nutritional baskets to patients undergoing treatment for tuberculosis. The distribution was carried out as part of NTPC's corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities aimed at supporting vulnerable groups.
The baskets contain protein-rich foods, vitamins and other essentials designed to improve the nutritional status of TB patients, whose recovery depends heavily on adequate diet. NTPC representatives said the initiative aligns with its broader health‑and‑wellbeing commitments across the country.
Local health workers assisted in identifying eligible beneficiaries and ensured the supplies reached patients in both urban and remote areas of the state. The programme is expected to complement ongoing government efforts to curb TB incidence in Manipur.
