The Ministry of Education will release the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2026 results shortly, detailing categories and ranking parameters.
The Ministry of Education has announced that the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2026 rankings will be made public in the coming days. The release will occur on the official NIRF portal, where institutions can view their positions across the various categories.
NIRF evaluates higher‑education institutions under five broad categories: universities, engineering colleges, management institutes, pharmacy colleges and overall institutions. Each category is assessed using a set of parameters that cover teaching‑learning resources, research and professional practice, graduation outcomes, outreach and inclusivity, as well as perception.
The ranking methodology remains consistent with previous editions, emphasizing quantitative data submitted by institutions and qualitative surveys. Stakeholders are advised to consult the official website for detailed guidelines, parameter weightage and the timeline for the final publication.
The upcoming release is expected to influence student choices, funding allocations and policy decisions across the Indian higher‑education landscape.
