NCC inaugurates India’s first all‑girls paramotor training course in Guwahati

Guwahati, Assam – The National Cadet Corps (NCC) officially opened an all‑girls paramotor training course in Guwahati, a pioneering step for adventure‑sport education in the country. The ceremony was attended by NCC officials and local authorities, underscoring the programme’s importance for youth development.
The course is designed to teach female cadets the fundamentals of paramotoring, including aircraft handling, safety protocols and navigation. Participants will undergo both classroom instruction and practical flight sessions under the supervision of certified instructors.
NCC representatives said the initiative aims to empower young women, broaden their skill sets and encourage greater female participation in aerial sports. They added that successful completion could open pathways to advanced aviation training and related career opportunities.
The programme, scheduled to run for several weeks, will initially admit a limited batch of cadets, with plans to expand to other regions based on demand and outcomes.
